You can upload pictures of your clothes and accessories there to get more items and 'ribbons' (read that as the currency on the site). Yes, yes, yet another day of striped socks! I promise I won't wear them too often. I have a plethora of them and they nicely break up the solids that usually compromise my day to day wear. Either that or I just have a soft spot for them.

Now today was suddenly chillier than it's been in the past couple of weeks but that shouldn't stop you from expressing yourself. I love that hoodie too. I bought it in Japan this last Feb and the hood has little devil horns and on the back a wee black devil's tail kept on with a button. So cute. Now the trick ladies and gents, to wearing busy patterned clothes is not to overwhelm and break it up. Generally layering on patterns of different types is a no-no but broken up properly it can look good. There's enough solids in there between the socks and skirt and also that nice plainer section on the lower half of the hoodie to break things up nicely so it's not too much for the eye. Ideally I would have worn plain grey socks but I couldn't find them in the morning rush to get out of the door.

Anyhoo here's the low down on today's outfit.

Leggings: UNIQLO 3/4 length lace leggings (yup these again. I love them XD)
Socks: off brand. Can't remember where I got them...maybe La Senza or something many moons ago
Hair Slide: I think this was a Paris Kids one. I can't recall, otherwise it was Claire's  or Louis Nouvelle (unlikely though)

Yay TGIF! I'm about to head down into the US (Seattle) this weekend to do a little sewing with friends so I likely won't get to posting any photos or info up on the weekend. After sewing I have Innocente Seraphim meetings including a hotel walkthrough (of the 5 star Bellvue Westin Hotel - check it out if you have time. Such a nice hotel!) then the long drive home.

Anyhoo today the sun is shining and looking cheery so I wanted some colour in in my coordinate. Definately more on the punky side today. As you can tell I certainly favor particular items in my wardrobe (either that or I'm out of clean clothes lol) and then I have others I use all the time because they're versitile. Yet another thing I like to pass on. Make sure you have some good basic items in your wardrobe. I personally love striped socks and 3/4 length leggings with stretch lace at the bottom. Knowing this I go and buy a few pairs every time so I can replace whatever is worn out. If I know I like something I usually buy 2 because you never know when that missile pizza slice might come flying your way.

Anyhoo onto today's outfit! My boss had a bit of fun since I was wearing a 'heavy metal' shirt so I made a face and did the rock out hands XD.

Day 2! At least I'm keeping up and haven't already forgotten. Methinks I may only do this on weekdays when I go to work since my boss takes the photos for me :)

Anyhoo I put the punk away and out came the frills! Not the sweetest of styles but I love the pink plaid. I forgot the matching mini top hat though which makes me a little sad. Oh well next time.

Today's outfit is mostly BodyLine items. A word of warning though to those new to this kind of fashion, while BodyLine has some very affordable items compared to many Brands like Baby, The Stars Shine Bright or Moi Meme Moitie (a brand that musician Mana from Malice Mizer started and who incidentally coined the term 'Elegant Gothic Lolita') you have to be quite careful of what you buy from there. Some items are made with cheap/shoddy lace, or really inappropriate for most lolita styles while others are complete knock offs of brand items (like their Fruits Parlor knock offs). On the other hand, while most brands in Japan cater to small sizes, BodyLine does make things in larger sizes (up to about 34" or 35" waists for some items) so it's a chance for larger girls/boys to be able to get something they otherwise wouldn't be able to. So there you have it. BodyLine can be a great alternative but it's also a good idea to be very attentive to what you're buying.
